How to use a nail buffer effectively

Beautifying nails and manicures have been around for thousands of years. Initially, women used to do their nails with oils and herbs that leave color. As time passed by, new innovational took place, and now we have tons of new tools, techniques, and ways to take care of our nails to make them beautiful. Now that nail polish, clippers, buffer, etc. have been around for a while, we can make good use of them for our beautification.

Today, we will talk about buffing your nails. Nail buffing is a process of removing and polishing layers of our layer for a number of purposes, using a nail buffer. A nail buffer is a tool that is a “must-have” in your manicure kit.

Nail buffers are available in three general types:

Buffing discs: these are small round discs with a very fine grit to polish the surface of the nail.

Buffing blocks: these are 3D nail buffers with multiple surfaces and each surface has a different coarseness.

3 in one buffer: it has a buffer, an empty board and a polisher pieced together in one single unit for ease-of-use.

Nail Filing:

Before buffing your nails, make sure that your nails are clean and shaped as desired. If you have nail polish or any layer of some paint or polish on your nails then remove it by rubbing thoroughly with cotton containing nail polish remover. Then clip your nails according to your liking. And finally, file them to give the end a smooth texture and shape them as you desire. The three basic shapes for filing are round, oval, and square.

Buffing:

Hold the nail buffer parallel to your nails and place the large grit size on your nail. Now rub it over your nail with precision.

Now repeat the same process but with a fine grit side of the buffer on your nail.

Apple cuticle oil to add shine and moisturize your nail.

Your nails are now buffed and ready to go.
